Josh Hoover Earns Early Endorsement Of Professional Engineers in California Government

January 29, 2026

Folsom, CA -- Today, Josh Hoover announced he has received the endorsement of Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) for his campaign for Assembly. The endorsement is notable because PECG is one of the largest and most recognizable associations to represent State workers.

Representing over 15,000 state engineers and specialists, PECG works to ensure the safety of California’s infrastructure, schools, and hospitals, while protecting the State's air, water, and beaches.

In his endorsement letter, Steve Lee, Chair of PECG PAC, wrote, "The Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) is proud to endorse your campaign for Assembly District 7. Given your proven commitment to public servants, we know that you will continue to serve our state and your constituents with distinction after your reelection."

California's 7th Assembly District, nested in eastern Sacramento County, is one of the most competitive districts in the entire State, making the endorsement of PECG that much more notable.

In an excited response to the endorsement, Assemblyman Hoover stated, "I'm honored to work with the employees who work for our State on issues that matter to all Californians, as the State addresses the issues associated with aging infrastructure and a fiscal crisis, PECG is working to find solutions that will improve the quality of life in our future and I'm grateful to be a part of that."

Hoover was elected to the State Assembly in 2022 to represent the voters of California’s 7th Assembly District in one of the most competitive elections in the state, and reelected in November of 2024 by more than seven percentage points.
